Narrative Images

Stacie and Dennis heard about us through their friends, Kristina and Tom, whose wedding we photographed last year. We just love when we get to work with friends of couples we know because they always end up being such great people…since great people attract other great peopleSo, Stacie and Dennis decided on their downtown loft and the neighborhood for their engagement session. Dennis actually proposed to Stacie on the night they moved into this place. You can see the poem he wrote and gave to her on that night.  It’s called “perfect.” It’s so clear from being around these two that that is exactly what they see in each other, perfection.  They are so sweet to one another, and they’ve got a great sense of style.  To add to the perfection, they’ve got an adorable four legged child.  We had so much fun hanging out downtown with them and can’t wait for their wedding this Summer.

This image really evokes a narrative for me. It’s an interesting in-between moment that seems to be taken out of a story of another time and place.  It’s one of those images that I can’t stop looking at. I don’t know what it is…. Dennis is a talented baseball player, so this photo is kind of perfect.
