Kristina and Jim met as teens while participating in a drum and bugle corps together.  They both felt something special between them, but it wasn’t the right time to be together. Some 14 years later, Jim was celebrating his birthday, and as he blew out the candles on his cake he made a wish that he would find the perfect person to be with.  Two days later, Jim found a message on Facebook from Kristina that went something like, “You may not remember me…” After some messages, pokes and wall posts, Jim decided to drive down from Northern Cali for a date.  Now they have both found that perfect person in each other and are just beside themselves with joy.

My favorite moment during the shoot was when Jim, who is a talented trumpet player, played for her on the pier. Gave me goosebumps!  For those punk/ska fans out there, I might mention that Jim played with Goldfinger!

There was no telling these two to smile, laugh or have fun on this shoot. This is just what they did, and it was so great to see.  Kristina and Jim were willing to lean on railings with fish guts, dance admidst a crowd, and get their pants wet in the ocean… they were so much enjoying each other that none of this seemed to bother them… which was so awesome because we had no limitations.  Thanks guys!
