Jessie + Aaron | USD and Rancho Bernardo Inn

Nov 1, 2011

I was so happy when a classmate of mine from high school contacted Rick and me about her wedding.  Jessie is one of those girls who was always friends with everyone because she was always nice to everyone.  I’m so happy to see she has met another equally wonderful person who loves life as much as she does.  Aaron and Jessie’s ceremony was at USD, where Aaron went to school and the reception was at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. My favorite moment of the day was when Jessie was waiting in a hallway for the ceremony to start, and her father reached over and kissed her on the cheek.  I had the honor of witnessing and documenting that sweet, tender moment. I feel like the story is often in those in-between moments, which is why I love my job. I get to be there to witness those moments that happen that no one else may see… Another unique part of this day was the VW Bus that Jessie surprised Aaron with. It’s his favorite car, so Jessie had it be their surprise transportation waiting for them outside of the church.  The photo above was shot through the windows of the van right after they exited the church. While Jessie was standing by the door, I snagged a shot through her veil that was hanging from the chandeleir. I love the dreamy, old time feel that the texture of the veil adds.I love that she is just beaming here…another in between moment, just waiting for the limo to pull up.Aaron’s expression upon seeing Jessie walk down the aisle.  Priceless. The mother of the bride experiencing all of the emotions that comes with this day, as the light shines on her.It was windy!Ceremony  |  Founder’s Chapel, USD

Rick and Bernadette you have truly captured the spirit of Jessica and Aaron’s love. Now it is documented and captured for generations to enjoy. Your eye for the unique and beautiful is evident in each and every photograph. You have given them a beautiful chapter 1 in the novel of life. I hope that you will photograph many more of life’s moments yet to come….Thank you again Lisa Greenspan Mother of the bride
