We had so much fun with this beautiful family who comes to San Diego every Summer for vacation from the heat in Arizona.  We had the privilege of photographing them here on this same beach during their visit last year and were thrilled when they contacted us again this year.  We shot on the same beach, but this shoot was totally different. With two energetic young boys, sand, water and sun…you are bound to have some fun. Throw in a giant red balloon, and you have an epic evening on the beach!

This is the way I would want to remember my childhood Summers.

There was not a lot of posing on this shoot.  There was a lot of laughter.

Happy.

What I love about this family shot (besides the huge, genuine smiles on their faces), is that their feet are covered in sand.  These parents were not worried about the kids staying clean.  They wanted them to have fun.  Having this attitude on a shoot will guarantee that your photos will capture joy and happiness, which in our minds is the point of documenting this time of your life.
