Rick and I are so fortunate to get to work with this incredibly talented and knowledgeable personal trainer/movement guru, Daniel Chavez with Roots Strength and Conditioning. Here are some of our favorite images from a recent shoot with Dan.
Dan has a unique, inspiring and revolutionarily simple philosophy to movement. You can’t pin him to any specific category of “fitness” because what he has developed is a truly unique and seamless approach that combines movement from many different genres, including but not limited to: gymnastics, martial arts, ballet, yoga, strength and mobility training. Workouts with Dan don’t rely on fancy gym equipment. We do work out in the gym, but mostly on the floor and in the park…kids play structures and trees are often our equipment. You just need to come with an open mind, and if you schedule some sessions with Dan, just be prepared to squat!
