Leanna and Otto are two creative, adventurous spirits who are in love with life, as well as with each other.  They put so much love and intention into every detail of their wedding, and with both of them being artists, everything was just stunning. There is just something magical about Hawaii, and this magic infused every aspect of Leanna and Otto’s wedding day. It kind of felt like a dream, really. It was really hard to select the images to share here on the blog, as everything was just oh so beautiful. So, I focused on the moments that made this day genuine, meaningful and magical.Getting readyThe epic invitations made by Leanna.  The invitations came to the guests as a message in a bottle…literally. The invitation was rolled up into a little bottle! These ruins are from an old sugar mill from the mid 1800’s.  The ocean is across the street…and look at those mountains. Just breathtaking! And the perfect spot to photograph these lovely ladies…Leanna is quite the adventurer and also very athletic. I just LOVE that she was into climbing a tree in her wedding dress. She looks so beautiful and at home being cradled by the tree.Otto rocking his amazing suit and tie and lei.I just love the flower girl’s expression. The gesture and expression are so beautiful.After the ceremony, we followed Leanna and Otto across the street to the beach for a little swinging!Marley, the ring dog was looking pretty dapper in his vest and tie.Pre-sunset stroll by the ocean.Leanna and Otto had the most amazing band play at their ceremony and reception.  The Ron Artis Family Band is made up of 11 brothers and sisters who grew up around music, as their father, Ron Artis, is a musician.  These guys were amazing…so talented and such a diverse repertoire, all played with such joy.  It was an honor to see them perform.  At the end of the night, one of the musicians played a song she had recently written called, “Smile.” I wish I could share a recording of it, but I don’t think it’s been recorded yet.  It was a really unique moment, and the reactions of the bride and groom and guests here give you an idea of how special it was. (The Artis family has a storefront and music bar on Oahu, and I highly recommend you check it out if you are ever over there.)The magical evening ended with the lighting of floating paper lanterns, which flew up over the mountains and into the distance.
