WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT L’AUBERGE
What Rick and I love most about photographing at L’Auberge Del Mar is the upscale beachside ambiance and the visual variety. The soft color palette of the resort gives your photos an aerie, romantic vibe. And the versatility of the hotel decor and architecture can lend itself to a timeless, classic affair or a more relaxed, modern feel. The property also offers a variety of scenes to photograph in; from the rooftop of the resort and the surrounding gardens to the aerie resort lobby with wall to wall windows, giving us beautiful natural light to work with. And just a short walk away, there is a beautiful grassy park set up on the cliffs, the beach down below and an old brick train station across the street.
We also love that couples who marry at L’Auberge Del Mar receive the support of a dedicated and experienced wedding coordination department who will make sure that every element of the day is perfectly planned and executed. And the icing on the cake is that wedding guests who stay L’Auberge Del Mar can enjoy boutique shopping in the village, hiking at Torrey Pines State Reserve or watch a race at the historic Del Mar Racetrack.
WEDDING CEREMONIES
As a bride or groom at L’Auberge, you have three location options for your ceremony.
Seagrove Park is located steps away from the resort and can accommodate up to 200 guests for the wedding ceremony and features scenic views of the Pacific Ocean as well as a refreshing sea breeze.
The Pacific Terrace is another gorgeous outdoor venue on the rooftop of the resort that can accommodate up to 250 guests with the Del Mar coastline and scenic village serving as your backdrop.
The Sunset Terrace is located in the resort’s Ocean View Courtyard, perfect for intimate ceremonies and/or cocktail receptions for up to 120 guests. If you time it right, the sun sets directly behind the altar.
WEDDING RECEPTIONS:
The resort also has a few options for reception spaces. The Platinum Ballroom has nine-foot ceilings that can host up to 200 dinner guests, and the Emerald Ballroom holds up to 100 guests; the Sapphire Room and Emerald Terrace that each accommodate an intimate party of up to 40 guests, and more.
